DX Summit : Thriving in a New World Order

CII Centre for Digital Transformation organised the 3rd edition of the Digital Transformation Summit from 22-24 February 2022 around the theme, "Thriving in the New World Order".

Canada was the Partner Country for the 3rd edition of the Digital Transformation Summit. A delegation comprising companies from Canada participated in the Summit and joined the various deliberations at the programme. The Partnership aimed to harness the expertise and combine the strengths of Canada and India to cater to global demands leveraging all things digital.

The Summit focussed on the inspirational digital growth story of sectors that have leveraged digital such as healthcare & life sciences, automotive, infrastructure which have been instrumental in propelling the economy. 

A special panel discussion on emerging opportunities in the new world order was chaired by Mr Kris Gopalakrishnan, Past President, CII & Co-founder of Infosys, who was joined by a panel of CEOs, Mr Dharmender Kapoor, CEO, BirlaSoft, Mr Dilip Sawhney, Managing Director, Rockwell Automation and Mr Vinod Sood, Managing Director Hughes Systique Ltd.

The sessions on the healthcare & pharma sector witnessed medical practitioners’, Chief medical information officers from Apollo TeleHealth Services, The Digestive Health Services, Tata Chemicals, Kokilaban Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital, MGM Healthcare and technology leaders from DELL, Microsoft share their practices and the successful usage of digital technologies for the sector.

Eminent leaders from Schneider Electric, GMR Group, Shapoorji Pallonji, KONE India, V Plan, Associated Container Terminals Ltd, Sri City, Tracecost, HPE and Microsoft focused on the significance of a robust digital infrastructure to drive innovation and sustainability at the sessions on infrastructure and real estate sector. The deliberations highlighted that infrastructure financing to construction technologies, digital technologies are enabling innovation, efficiency and sustainability for the sector and this digital revolution can go a long way in improving quality, cutting costs, enhancing safety, reducing risks and boosting profits for this space. The fireside chat between PSU giants, ONGC Ltd and IOCL shared the digital transformation of these organizations and their future readiness.

The third day of the summit focused on the automotive sector where digital technologies are creating value for the industry by breaking the mould of the entire value chain, resulting in greater efficiencies and cost savings. The deliberations focused on the rise of industry-leading platforms, supported by the explosion in the breadth and depth of data available which have, accelerated the impact that digital technologies are having on this sector. The deliberation witnessed the presence of CXOs from automotive giants, new age automobile companies such as Maruti Suzuki, Mahindra & Mahindra, Tata Motors, Toyota Motors, UNO Minda, OLA Electric, JBM Group and technology leaders DELL, HPE and Tata Communications who are supporting these sectors.

The Summit witnessed the participation of over 4000+ delegates from industry, policymakers, technology experts, academicians and solution providers and it also included a virtual exhibition area for companies to showcase their various offerings and also provided an opportunity to network and connect with their customers.
